Just switched to chrome, I got bored of Firefox- I mean sure it was handy (I had few plugins but the ease of accessing feeds was very nice) however it was SLOW!
Literally, I would get >10FPS writing a Code Call tutorial...
How does that work??
Anyway I have been trying to switch for years but Windows Vista was being a pain as always (changing the run UID fixed it thou- most apps do this built in however...).

Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).

What version have you been using? If you have an adequate on-board graphics processor, the latest Firefox version (i.e. firefox-trunk) should provide a lot less memory usage than the recent official releases.
Chrome for me tends to be fast until I hit the wall of my 1GB RAM limit, then it breaks down instantly.

Chrome is awesome. I started using Chrome after Firefox had an update and it kept crashing on me. More recently however a friend introduced me to RockMelt, which is basically Chrome but made to be social. I like the look and feel of RockMelt, so I prefer it over Chrome. Any of my Chrome extensions that I use work with RockMelt so no complaints there.

Yeah it seems only Google is actually having issues. google.com is fine but many of google's other sites are not loading (not just throwing up invalid SSL errors) however their sub domain equivlents work like a charm.
