i'm new here, lol. and i'm not to good at these introduction things. but i'm about to start on a degree in computer science, and while i dont know much now about programming (i've dabbled and have picked stuff up fast) i am a quick learner, and hope to learn something by talking to people in this forum. i use ubuntu as my main os. i like music a lot. ummm, not much else to say, really. :)

Sometimes it's nice to have a place you can go to for those questions that are hard to answer in schooling.

What sort of computer science degree are you looking at? What courses will you be taking?

At the moment, I'm not sure exactly what computer science degree, right now i'm must going to take some lower level courses, since where i live the first year or so is mainly introductory stuff/gen ed requirements, lol.
I hope to do a double major or maybe a minor in music technology, seeing as i am a musician, and play several instruments as well as sing. I think it would be neat to write music software for composing and editing, as there are few programs out there that are good, and even those don't accomplish what I want to get done.
I already have a few really neat things in mind, I just need to learn how to code them properly. :)
