How do feel about teaching programming to kids? Im 22, and have grown up in the computer generation, not knowing how to code. Now in advertising, not knowing how to code limits my creativity, skills and executions. How important is it for the average Joe to know coding? And am I missing out?
Steve Henry will be offering courses, 'Decoded', teaching people the basics of coding in a day. Worth going on it?

From the little I can see from a couple searches, it doesn't look like his course has anything to do with programming software, but with something else in the advertising biz.
With that said, if you need to get more power out of Excel, need to use Access more effectively, or otherwise get computers to cooperate with you, programming is a useful skill.

Well learning programming could help your logics.
I remember in second grade in my math class, I learned chess to help us with logics.

I think programming has value in other areas of life. It teaches you to think logically about problems and is worth knowing at least one language IMO.

Programming is a very nice skill, while it might not be required in everyday life it is amazingly handy and will teach you the inner workings of a computer any day. What's more is that you can write handy little programs- for example I wrote a python script that gave you the area of a triangle it was life using a calculator but slightly faster- sadly python has so little structure that it ends up being very strict and was giving me bad results (probably solvable but I just re wrote it in C++).
Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).
