Which is better?

Is VB.NET used in industry???? Is it classed as a real programming language? What are it's restrictions?

Thanks

VB.NET is used in industry. The best way to get an idea of how popular a language is in your area is to browse websites like careerbuilder.com. VB.NET and C# both rely on the .NET library for most of what they do, so they are nearly interchangeable. C/C++ are not, in general, focused on .NET, though you can run C++ with .NET.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.
