Hello forum, Vaironl here.

I'm starting to become a little experienced in programming, just I got a lot to learn, but I believe that I can understand things easily now.
My question is where might I be able to find, projects that I can participate in and if possible even receive volunteer hours.
I do not wish to get paid on anything I would just like to know.

I'm a highschool student.

Near me there are many companies like oracle, unysis , sprint, saic, etc...
So what would you guys recommend.

Thanks to all.

Have you looked at SourceForge.net: Find, Create, and Publish Open Source software for free ?

Yeah, though after I select my process, would I just use some sort of reference and then start developing and somehow publish it.
Sorry for those question I just have never done this before though I'm excited to try it.

It depends on how the project is organized. Most of them will be using some form of version control, but even those vary quite a bit.
