Just want some opinion on if I should add a firewall to my security arsenal. I have:
Malwarebytes Pro
SuperAntiSpyware Pro
VIPRE Antivirus
Spybot Search and Destroy
Windows Firewall and Defender
Sandboxie
Peerblock
Hitman Pro
Most of that's for on-demand scanning, but should I add a firewall? I try to stay light on things running in the background.

A firewall may block unwanted ports or allow traffic based on set rules. There seems to be a reduced risk of trojans or spreading malware on your computer so it would be discretionary on you (and if you have a need to block certain traffic of certain programs, i.e. disable P2P on your network).
Routers can often block all ports but some if you are only looking for that behaviour.
Alexander.
