Hi all

I have been trying to install jdk7 on windows 7 but it wont install, i have the 64bit version of win7 so i downloaded the 64bit version of jdk7 but i get an error that says "not a valid win32 application". Does someone know how to fix this? I dont use windows that much but I have to now, its because off this type of nonsense that I dont use windows.

I think that's a corrupt .exe file.

You can install the 32 or 64 bit version of java on windows 7 64bit.

Java SE Development Kit 7 Downloads

If you're going to be using other libraries and eclipse I'd recommend getting the 32bit version with the 32 bit version of eclipse. I had some problems in the past with libraries conflicting with the 64bit version of java/eclipse.

I tried the 32bit and i tried the 64bit jdk and both are apparently invalid win32 programs. I downloaded them from the official websites and about 4 other websites, so i dont think that they are corrupt, I am just going to wait until I get my laptop back which has linux on it, i am tired of this microsoft junk OS....anyway thanks for the help

i am tired of this microsoft junk OS
It installed on my junk os perfectly fine with xp, vista, 7 and a linux machine.

I use firefox for my downloads. Supposedly IE isn't reliable for larger downloads.
