Hello,
I am trying to download a swf movie to work locally in my computer.
I have downloaded the asp/html file whice inserts the movie and found the following :
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-a3e6d-11cf-96b8-4440000" codebase="http://fpdownload.ma...version=7,0,0,0" width="980" height="550" id="Object2" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" />
<param name="movie" value="http://????/exata2.asp?g2_id=95&g3_id=216877" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
<param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" />
<embed src="src="http://????/exata2.asp?file=f_88.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#000000" width="1230" height="800" name="index" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player" />
</object>
I have downloaded the exata2.asp?file=f_88.swfand strangely the "exata2.asp?g2_id=95&g3_id=216877" is directed to the same movie.
In the end of the deal I got two excat same file called extata2.swf (and not asp).
I changed the src to be local (removed the http:///....) and it still works.
But when I change the movie value property to be the same swf it failed to load the movie.
Please advise.
Thanks alot,
Guy

I'm not clear on what you're trying to do. Are you trying to rip a movie from someone else's site, or having an issue with the development? Without knowing what exata2.asp does, it's almost impossible to know what could be happening.

I'm trying to download a swf flash file from someone's web into my computer which will be eventually working offline ( after I get all the needed files ).
Is it possible?
I already have the swf file which is the core flash video. it's only 9mb file but somehow it works only if the src is directed to the external asp.
I want to create a local directory in my computer with all the video files from this site so I'll not have to sign in each time and find the needed movie.

The swf file is just the player, not the video to be played. What you need to know is what is the file the player plays. There are some tools for that: Download Flash Videos from YouTube, Google Video, and Most Other Video Hosting Streams « My Digital Life
