Welcome to our forums!
I am actually at an impasse at what to suggest, it seems everybody has their own things they like to make - however maybe working with arrays and other common things other than just gui can be helpful (often people skip them.)
You can accept a list of items, and sort them in an array, and output them in another box for example. I am sure this would allow knowledge to make a multitude of similar things.

Be sure to read the updated FAQ! || Health is achieved through the same 10,000 steps.
If a suggested code/method fails, informing us is less important than telling us why or what errors occurred.

Welcome aboard!
The answer to what to program really depends on your current skill level. Writing a program to allow you to play chess with another person (hotseating) would be very appropriate for some people, but not others. Writing a program to create, populate, and print the contents of an array would be appropriate for some people, but not others.
