Hi,

I recently took on a project for my friend that I hope will pay off in the long run; maybe with advertising dollars; or sales from his cars, etc.

This is the old site that he had that was created and maintained by several people in the past.
It's really a mess internally; No CSS!, Zero SEO, inconsistent naming; the list is endless.

He'd ask me to add or change something on the site and it was a nightmare wading through all of that gobbledygook.

So, I cobbled together a quick skeleton structure from an old site I did that used PHP navigation and CSS so I could at least spend less time adding things, but it was not SEO friendly. I went back and redid most of the HTML, CSS, filenames and pictures to be more SEO friendly. I still have to areas that I have to fix. The fastest and statistics are images. For it to be SEO friendly the text should not be embedded in the images.

So, being out of the loop on web design for years and years (I'm an OP) I have no idea what I created is worth?

First a disclaimer. I absolutely make no claim to be artistic. So, the sites I create may not be the most artistic sites you have ever seen.

My expertise is making applications Database / Spreadsheets that work and don't crash and Sites that (most of the time) don't have bad internal links.

This is the new version.

So, my question is, if one of you was tasked with changing from that old site to something new (and you used a similar structure to what I've done) how much would something like this be worth, or what would be a fair price to charge for a site constructed like this?

There's a lot more I have to add, many more items and a huge number of pictures, plus probably a few videos.

But at it's present state I'd like to get a ball park figure.

Thanks I sure appreciate the help.
