After searching around, asking a lot of questions and learning a few things I've decided that Python is going to be my first language. I'd like the learn C++ but it seems kinda hard so maybe I'll have another crack at that after I know more about programming. Anyways I've gone to Python.org and found many tutorials for complete beginners, however I'd like to study while offline as well. Are there any books about there for complete beginners in Python?

Thanks I appreciate it.

I think that Google can probably give you a better answer than any of us could, but the way I did it when I was learning Python (back in the day...) I had downloaded all of the API docs and tutorial information on their site and kept it on my local drive, then I didn't need to be online to read the tutorials. That could still be a choice for you.

Good luck learning Python, other than the BASIC family of languages (which quite honestly held me back as a programmer), Python was the first language that brought me into the world of 'real programming'. I still use Python, so you won't be wasting time like I did, because Python is a very practical and usable language all the way up to professional settings.
Wow I changed my sig!
