Hi,
I remember coming accross a website a while back that offered programming challenges that were coded through an application you had to download. You could submit any challenge in quite a few languages and it automatically marked the challenge for you.
Does anyone happen to know the website I am talking about?
Many thanks!

I would add that there are many others too with the name of acm online judges. Almost all of which keep on posting new problems and contests and you can write solutions and submit them there.

Topcoder is unique in the sense that you download a java app (that is why you were probably taking about it), also it posts a great deal of tutorials plus solutions and discussions of every contest held. It also provides a rating system for all participants which is viewed as a measure of a programmers ability.
There are software design, development, algorithmic, testing etc. all kinds of competitions there.
