Hi, My name is Joshua Rosenfeld. I am a novice programmer currently learning java. My reason for this is school related. A senior year graduation requirement is to do what is called a "Senior Capstone." It is basically a research project, with a action component. My plan is to market my softball database. The problem is, it is currently written in Access, and it would be hard to market a program that requires a $500 office suite to run it. Is java the right language for the job, or is there something better?
Thanks,
Josh

I would stick with Java, but switch to the H2 database.
H2 Database Engine
