Well guys, i'm new to the forum and completely new to programming. I would like to get into it as it really interests me. I was wondering if any of you had any tutorials you guys could recommend.

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Are you wishing to start with Visual Basic .NET? This may be a good option compared to more advanced languages such as C#/C++/Java however is not as portable.

What sorts of programs do you wish to make? Mainly console for practice? GUI?

There are all sorts of languages you could learn, including scripting languages such as Python.

Yes, I was going to start with Visual Basic .NET, I would eventually like to code programs associated with games(For example a game hack/bot, so not console for practice GUI.. I don't think Python would be suitable for what i'd like to achieve. Do you have any Visual Basic tutorials you could recommend?

Thanks for the reply Alexander.

well, I would also consider downloading Visual Studio Express.
Free Developer Tools - Visual Studio 2010 Express | Microsoft Visual Studio

you could use link I had posted as a good starting point.
