Hello programmers! :)
I'm new to this board, and I have a question I hope you can answer for me.
I'm thinking of creating a website similar to www.picnik.com where the drag-and-drop feature will be the main focus. Now, my question is: What type of coding will I need to create such website/feature? I have no experience with coding whatsoever, except for the usual HTML in posts... Yes, I'm a total newbie!
The drag-and-drop feature is when you upload a photo to the web, you'll be allowed to drag, for example glasses, hair, hearts and other things to your image - making it funny, or whatever... So! How hard is this to do with my own photoshop-created items (for drag-and-drop)?
Is there a program which allows the user to upload their own items for the drag and drop feauture? Please visit the Picnik website to understand the drag-and-drop thing if you haven't yet. :)
I hope you can answer my question. I'm just a newbie, lol.

You could use many things, jQuery seems like an option. However if you right click anywhere on the picnic page, you will notice it displays a flash version in the context menu, it is just a page sized flash application that mimics a web page so that it is well integrated. Flash may be easier to add effects and whatnot, although I am not sure how much harder it'd be with jQuery and AJAX.
