Hey guys, i emailed a few game studios around my area for work experience. What do you think they'd have me do while i'm there?

The most important job of all... Making the coffee.

Seriousally though, I would expect to do lots of basic tasks to start off with but along side this, you will also get to see how a Game Studio works which is invaluable experience in itself.

Obviousally everywhere is different and I can only speculate.

I did work experience in a software house around the age of 14/15 too. From what I can remember, everyone uses you as a coffee machine :)
But as we all know, coffee fuels developers so it's a rather important task lol

I'm sure why you are there they will show you around the business, let you get a good feel as to how it all works and what each department does.
This is all very interesting if you have never been exposed to it before.

Then I'm sure as time goes on you will get to spend time with the actual game developers learning about what they do. It's a great chance to ask questions.
Hopefully they will have some small tasks for you to do which meet any skill sets you may have
