Hi, I'm new to programming. I have wanted to do programming for so long, but circumstances have been holding me back.
I'm 31yrs old, sophomore in CS, and ready to rock and roll.:D Oh and English is not my first language so bear with me. :)
I haven't taken a CS course yet, I'll be seeing a class or two this fall. I was catching up on some algebra, and taking some other classes like speech, college comp, college survival, etc.
I've decided to start with C, I've read some tutorials on Python and Java, but decided to start with C.
I will create a post in the C forum and post my solutions to some euler and codechef problems so you guys can help me improve.
Thanks!:thumbup1:

Welcome Mitch!
Glad you could get in to programming, be it stress or strokes of brilliance when you get things to actually work it is quite a fun hobby. C really keeps you close to the system and your memory.
Feel free to post anything you wish, us here love to review code and help with crazy questions. :)

Yes! Alexander is right.
I think i'm able to write a code for printing "Hello, World!". Proud of that!

All the best. One piece of advice for beginning programmer. Try to develop patience to sit in front of a compiler when things get frustrating. When i began learning programming and that was with c too, that was the part that left many people out.
There are many things which take time to understand and figure out. So first, logic and concepts and then patience is the key.

Thanks everyone for their welcoming post. I will be around here for a looooong time.
Alright. I decided to start a blog instead of posting my euler and codechef solutions in a thread. Thanks again.
