Hi, I'm Bill Bonham and not only am I completely new to this forum, I'm completely new to programming and code in general. I don't know any programming languages but I'm very interested in becoming an expert. I realize this will take a long long time which is why I put future long time member in the subject line of this thread. I'm learning Python first because I read this is one of the best languages to learn first. If anyone thinks any differently please let me know. To wrap things up, I just wanted to say hello to everyone here and hopefully you won't get too annoyed with my n00b questions. :)

Welcome Bill!
I would recommend Python as it is a more generalized scripting language, and runs very well on most platforms, with many modules (even as a module in Apache if you were to so want to use Python as a web script.)
How much have you learned so far? Do you like the concept of arrays and tuples and all these crazy data structures? If you've gotten there!

I only started a couple days ago and I'm learning by tutorials on the internet, so I'm just learning the basics right now. (Variables, basic functions, and lists.) If you have any opinion on the best tutorials for a completely new learner I'd really appreciate it.
