I'd like to write programm to track time on sites. Programm has to show how much time I sat on the sites.

Like this:
Taday is 25 may 2011
www.codecall.net 00:23 Opera 12 Mb
www.balbalbla.com 00:15 Google Chrome 594 Kb
.............

Tell me where to start.

thats kinda tricky. One way to track the sites and the amount of data would be by using a proxy server of some sort. I think squid can do this.
But the exact number of minutes is more tricky. I mean you could approximate based on requests.
But if you need an exact amount of time, you might have to use some hooks to log when browser windows are active on your desktop.

I'm betting there might be some off the shelf product for a reasonable price that could do all of this for you. (unless this is just for educational purposes). Net Nanny? Cyber Sitter? Something like that. I think they can do this, because I think they can not only limit what you can view online, but also how much time you can spend online.
