Hi, I'm a high school student in colville, washington (USA). I started programming my TI calculator when I was a freshmen, I then kind of forgot about programming and focused on other things, like Knowledge Bowl (which I am a state champion at) and Cross Country... oh! And women ;)
Anyways, My Uncle had a copy of Microsoft Visual Studios 2010 Ultimate that he wasn't using!!! (I have NO idea how he got it... he is rich, and just likes to buy things I guess), anyways, I was like "WOW! That is really cool uncle!" to which he replied "I hate computers, you want it?"
yeah, so I have the $10,000 version of VS, and I figured I may as well learn how to program now ;)
so that's me, I am starting with C++ and then I'll move onto C# or Python or VB... but I'm pretty sure it will be Python.
I really want to learn how to utilize the chromium source, and understand how a web browser works. I think SVN is incredibly confusing so if anyone has any tips on that subject please contact me :)

Hey Daftatt,
I am impressed that you have the motivation for learning what makes browsers work - and the good fortune to have scored an Ultimate version of VS. I have a couple of questions though. What is SVN? And, why are so sure you will learn Python next?
All the best of luck to you!!
