Hi Everyone

My little niece has a MSI laptop and just today it has decided to break on her. I work with software and hardware has never been a strong point of mine so really don't know what I'm looking at lol.

She has told me:
It will turn on and go to the login screen and allow you to log in (as a guest the keyboard is broke to but I'm sorting that out).
Once your logged in the amount of time changes but the laptop screen will go black.
At first I thought it was a loose connection in the screen but if the laptop is left steady on a table it will still go black so no connection is being knocked loose.
Also when it does do this you can still hear the fan inside so it has not turned completly off.

I am sorry that the information I have given is as vague as it is but I am only going by what I have been told over the phone. I don't know what to tell her so could anyone give me an idea on how she could fix it herself or is it a job for the repair shop?

P.S. It is fully charged before anyone says.

Thanks in advance for the replies and quick replies get double thanks lol.

Never mind people sending it away to get fixed she needs it quickly for school work and can't wait about.

It could be anything really, these kinds of questions would be best answered if I had the thing in my physical hands. Hope it gets fixed soon.
