please i want to make a network simulation can any one give me an advice
the network is consist of client and a near router that saving a table of (ip addresses and a random string key to each ) the router check the packets of the client and compare to that table and if it match it pass else it droped
my question is what program is useful for that

Hi swa,
Since you asked for program, NS2 is a famous free tool used academically for quickly setting up networks of various configurations (The Network Simulator - ns-2). It is only available on linux as far as i know.
Else you can write a client and a router both of which run on the same machine using loopback address do the same job.

I didn't know much about opnet. But i googled a little. They are a public listed company in the same domain but i don't think any of their tools come for free.
