What sort of things should I look out for in terms of the legal side? This isn't something I just want to go buy a domain, hosting, and auction software, and start going is it?

Just some basic things to look out for would be fine, don't have to go into great detail.. Just trying to get a general idea.

Thanks

This is one of those things you should probably talk with a lawyer about. The terms of service will depend on how much liability you are willing to accept, how much you can deny, etc, etc, etc. Also, there's a LOT of competition out there.

Have you looked at the legal terms when viewing other online auctions? They've already done the hard work for you. Review them, write your own, find a lawyer and ask them to review it for you.
