Cell Phone Programming

I need a point in the right direction. I'm looking to program soemthing into a cell phone what language is most commonly used?

Some say C++
other Java or Java Script. It would not Surprise me for JS.

It depends on the Cell phone. Different phones use different languages.

That is a system on chip, but if it is running Android then the main developer platform will be Java, and most of Androids APIs and libraries will be such.

Very likely J2ME (Java mobile environment), as that is the prevalent platform for those era phones. The specifications sheet may tell you, so it would be wise to do some searching on those.

Normally, Java is being used for mobile phones.
