I'm reading this Lisp guide and I have to say this is a pretty unique language. I still have to decide if that's a good or a bad thing tough.
While it's true that Lisp code may be shorter than equivalent C++ or even Python code, it's also true that the syntax is, at least to me, very confusing (I'm at the very beginning of the guide).
I wanted to learn a little Lisp just out of curiosity and because I want to widen my programming horizons.
But what do you guys think? Is this language still useful today? Do you think it's just a waste of time for me to learn it?

I want to program in pure Lisp, but the only free interpreters I can find are GNU Common Lisp and ELisp. I've decided to settle for Common Lisp.
Programming is a journey, not a destination.

I picked up a book on Common Lisp a while back, because I like the programming style. Similar languages include F#, Clojure, and Haskell. Overall, I like it, but it appeals to my math side :)
