I gave my dad my old computer. The hard drive had gone out when i was running a check for hardware errors (i thought the graphics card was causeing some BSOD problems) . I ordered a new hard drive and put it in but every time i try to install XP (from a leagal disk) i get a BSOD (pic1) It always runs thru the screen in pic2 and then I get the BSOD in pic1 when the bottom of the screen says "loading windows" . At the begining of the boot it says "press F6 to install third party RAID" (or something along those lines it goes to fast for me to see) if i do that it gives me pic3 . If i hit S on the pic3 screen it says somthing about not being able to find a floppy to load OEM. If i hit enter on the pic 3 screen i t goes thru the setup and then i get the pic1 BSOD.

I checked all the hard drive wires and they are ok. I removed the graphics card just in case. I googled for quite a bit and watched youtube videos on proper setup. This is my first time doing a clean install on anything other then fedora 13 ; I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
~Zero

Have you tried installing Linux on it? Just to see if the HDD is broken or if it's WinXP.
