i have mac comp and i cant install fedora os i have tried from the website and try force booting it from a dvd but it does not work. any suggestions??

Could you give us the specs of the Mac? If it's a particularly old one it may be a challenge, and if you've got a Mac that uses the PowerPC chipset you'll have to get a version of Fedora that has been built for PowerPC.

Also, I believe most Macs can boot from CD/DVD by pressing "C" during BIOS startup (I do not know where though), you would need to do that to ensure the Fedora CD/DVD will run rather than your operating system.

Yes, you should get the Intel compatible i686 ISO edition which it may already select for you. You just need to now insert the DVD in to the drive, restart your mac, keep pressing C right away until it boots in to DVD and follow the instructions.
