So i took programming in high school and i've since stopped practicing/coding at all its been two years, in class they used c#, i've been thinking i'm gonna start back up again i just can't decide if i should continue with c# or if i should learn another language that is more popular? Is c# a viable option for most jobs out there today or should i learn java or c++ or should i go the web development route and learn those languages?

C# is if not the most popular language to interface with the .NET libraries or ASP.NET, and as such will be a great choice for .NET / Windows Business programming. Java and C++ are more portable but not really Windows oriented, and unless you use Visual C++ you will have to use your own window manager (or Java's interface libraries) to build graphical applications.

If you want to start programing first of all you must be well known about the langauges c and c++ before going to c sharp or any other language. Depending upon your own interest and expert advice you can choose any languages like PHP, Java, C# etc.
