Hello dear friends!
I have a problem in my laptop, today the CD/DVD drive just disappeared,
it doesn't appear and when i insert the cd or dvd it doesnt read it.
My laptop is Dell Inspiron N5010.
All of a sudden the CD Rom driver has disappeared from my computer, thus the CD rom won't read discs (it just spin and stops). How can I reinstall the driver?
What the problem is??? When i try to refresh driver, it says everything is ok.
Please help me, will be grateful.
I ve surfed internet, i couldnt find solution, i hope that you ll help me.
It is a big disappointment for me....
Thanks in advance!

The Dell support website should have all the necessary drivers, try going there and using the search to look up your model, it is not too hard. Once you have installed it, try restarting your computer and running a malware scan just to be sure.

Dell's site also didnt help me, but i have learnt other method, it really helped me.
Now i will write it step by step:
1. Win+r: regedit. In Registry Editor, expand My Computer, and then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
2. Expand SYSTEM, and then expand CurrentControlSet.
3. Expand Control, and then expand Class.
4. Under Class, click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
5. * If you see the UpperFilters registry entry in the details pane of Registry Editor, go to step 6.
* If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the
LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to "Step 3: Delete the LowerFilters registry entry."
6. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
7. Click Yes when you receive the following message:
Are you sure you want to delete this value?
The UpperFilters registry entry is removed.
Step 3: Delete the LowerFilters registry entry
Finally, reboot your computer and thats all. It helped me, i think it will be useful to you too dear friends.
