Hi guys and girls,
many years ago I dabble a bit with QBasic, and I was hoping to write a simple program to help me revise an imminent exam.
Unfortunately, I've found that QBasic no longer works on Windows, so I was wondering if someone on here could write a simple program and email it to me!
I'm really struggling with the revision at the moment and don't have time to teach myself VB otherwise I'd do it myself.
Basically, I have four books of questions, all law related.
They are;
Crime
Evidence and Procedure
GPD
Road Policing
Each book has several sections, and then each section several questions.
I just want a simple program that will choose a random book out of the four, then a random section from that book, then a random question from that section, then finally repeat this so I have 50 random questions.
In basic terms I want an "Exam Compiler".
I have a spreadsheet with the names of the books/sections and number of questions in which I could email if it helps.
If any of you guys could create this, I'd be greatful.
To clarify, the program does NOT need to display the question, just the book name, section and question number 50 times.
I will then read the questions from the books.
Thanks in anticipation.
Ploddy

Well that seems rather simple, but I doubt anybody will make it for you. Why not use a flash card program?
I've used this one before:
CueCard - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Thanks Blaine,
I've tried flash cards, and it's always term and definition, I just want a random number generator, but specific to my needs!
Not to worry, my g/f is compiling exams for me whilst I am at work, and I am completing them when I get home, its a bit tedious but gets the job done!
