I just made a new forum, I'd love for anyone to check it out and tell me what they think. Also if anyone is up for it, lots of moderator slots are open while its still small. I just started the process of moving it up in google ranks so I'm hoping the members will start to flow in soon.

@Jew - yah its loading slow for me too. It's odd because I could have sworn it was fast yesterday.

@Fishsticks - Well I like the layout, it is pleasent on the eyes which is an important factor for something people will be looking at for long periods of time like a forum. I think you could benifit from a little design on the logo, the site is so sleek and then you look at the name at the top and it seems out of place. Also you may want to change "Photoshop and Illistrator" to just "Adobe Suite" Sense adobe has a LOT of useful software for both graphics and programming. Maybe add a "Other" section to the software catagory as well. Other then that thou it looks great.

Very cool ... I like the color scheme of the skin. I agree with zeroradius' comment on the logo (or lack of it). If you can't come up with logo yourself (I understand that feeling, I am not artistic myself), get a friend who's good at it to help. My experience is that a good logo can really capture users' attention and help them remember your site. My site is also using a phpbb based forum and I would have some on-going customizing work to do too.
On the whole, very nice job.

Hate to be the one that pees on the proverbial parade, but what's the niche? Fora like these are a dime a dozen. With an unwieldy name, you might want to try to add a bit to it. What is it, ask yourself, that makes that site stand out as opposed to, for example, this one?

Also, grammar and spelling should be impeccable. "Discuss you ideas" is going to make it seem amateurish and drive more professionally-driven people away. Also, now that you've changed Photoshop/Illustrator to Adobe Suite, you might want the label underneath to reflect that change.
Something witty here.

We have been trying to think of ideas to make it different, none have come.

@fishsticks - thou opwuaioc has a point about making the site uniuqe don't let it discourage you. I remember Jordan said once that people kept telling him that codecall was doomed to failer when he started it and that it only had a small handful of members for a long time. Also this site did not always have all the extra stuff you see around it now. Take it a step at a time and you'll be fine.

Heh, I wasn't trying to discourage. I guess coming from academia, blunt honesty is the best way to arrive at better conclusions, and so I tend to seem more bashing than I mean for it to be.
