Hello.
Before i begin i would like to note that i have previous programming experiance in the past and i would like to excel in programming games and software as a career in the future.
I have experiance in web languages such as: HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL.
and currently learning c++ as my main intention was to program games in c++ and eventually software in general.
Although i am having a long journey in going through C++ tutorials and books i was considering working with python as a scripting language so i can write apps quickly and more effectively as i have heard that python is more simplex to use, where as with C++ I'm copying codes from a book/tutorial and writing them into a editor and compiling without getting the joy of actually programming something useful.
Therfore should i go with python and learn the concepts for that language and then write several applications until i'm confident with it? as my main intention is now to learn how to actually program than focusing entirely on the language itself?
Do you think that is a better alternative or do you suggest that i should stick with C++?

If your goal is to program complex programs, especially major games, C++ is the way to go. Also, C++ is a lower-level language than Python, so you'll have greater access and ultimately learn more about programming in general by learning it first. And another major benefit is that C is very similar, so if you wanted to take another step to procedural languages (since C++ and Python are both object oriented), you won't have to learn too much of a new syntax, since C++ is merely built on top of C. So, from my rather humble opinion, I'd recommend sticking with C++. It's more work, but I think you'll be better off in the long run.
Something witty here.
