Hey all.
My parents just bought me a new cell phone. When we were there, I[as usually] liked the oldest models the best. I looked at the 2nd generation models and liked them a lot, but sadly most of them didn't have Bluetooth. My little brother[7 years] got himself his first phone, because he's alone at home a lot. It's a simple phone with a two-color blue backlight display, but I kinda like it - since it doesn't have too many features, it's tiny. It's also very light, and not too power-consuming. It's charger is the smallest I have ever seen. Basically, they focused on the things that are actually important for a mobile phone.
I've finally decided on a 3rd generation Nokia 2730 Classic, mainly because it had bluetooth and expandable memory. I wanted to use my 2GB MicroSD for it, but I got another one of 1GB, so I now have 3 useless MicroSD cards. lol.
The seller said that the phone only has the bare essentials, and things such as internet don't work. One of the things I was looking forward to have is an internet connection from anywhere. I came home, and before I went to sleep I installed Nokia PC Suite and a Bluetooth driver[500MB, as much as all the other drivers I've installed together!], and guess what? That's the reason I trust nobody but myself, and base only on my own experience. The internet worked, for god's sake.
Of course, I've received ~4 warnings about the high taxes that might occur as a result, but I only did a small test and loaded my homepage. It also works on the phone itself. Now all left is to hack my way to a free internet connection - something I heard was possible, but never had a chance to check.
I need your help - is it a myth, or is it possible? If so, why and why not? It's 12PM around here, so I can't really do something now, but I promise I will try to deeply understand how those internet stuff work, and try to give an accurate answer.
Thanks anybody for your help. Mike.

There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

This is not so much the place to ask for phone and carrier hacking, your first step would be to unlock your phone through an unlock code which are always floating around free or paid, you can then choose whichever carrier you want and then work around to get something free.
I do not know how carriers work there, you would need to ask on a more specific to phone site on the specifics.

Posting this on a publically available forum while asking how to hack into your phone provider's internet... good idea? Hm!!!!!!
PS. My phone is better than yours (I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 2 days ago). :)

lol gratz on your new phone!
Mine is pretty much a piece of crap compared to other ones on today's market, but It satisfies me as I only need internet, a card slot and Bluetooth.
Gaining free internet doesn't necessarily mean hacking into my service provider's internet. I was thinking more about breaking into another, so that I won't have any fees from the one I'm correctly using. I wonder how would the second company react...
