Hi all,

Straight to the point: how to create facebook like link/button? I see this links in some websites and interested to apply it in my own site. Do we need special javascript (to use facebook api) or we could use simple "flat" link?

TIA

Note: digg uses a simple static link to submit the pages to a server script. I suspect the Facebook link is an AJAX request, but I generally hide it wherever I can.

Thanks WP, but the page says "Article not found". Looks like they've deleted that article :c-mad:.

Goto the page on Facebook your looking to add a 'like' box for and there should be a 'Get Started' tab, click it and scroll down to the third link and create your 'like box'.

EDIT: If you cant find the get started tab or dont have one try this link.

^ Lol! Yeah, actually that finally came to my mind last night and worked. Thanks a lot. Also thanks to Committed.

To sum this thread up, in facebook there is a page containing wizard to create the like button. All you need to do is entering the desired look and behavior of the like button/link and the wizard will create the script which you can inserted to your web page. You can also further customize the script (styles) by hand. Follow this link to the page.
