hi. i am using ubuntu which comes with a torrent client called transmission though i find it is a lot slower than my windows torrent clients. the torrents have tones of seeders though i may only get 6kb/s. i was wondering if there is a better torrent client / what do you use / what would you recommend.
thanks for any help in advance :D

Transmission is fine as long as you set the networking correctly, If I recall there is a network wizard to select your type of connection. Clients are 99% of the time slow because of misconfiguration or otherwise unconfigured setups,
There is also Azureus (Java based torrent), Deluge, Gnome Bittorrent (Gnome), KTorrent (KDE), Opera web browser can handle bittorrent as well.

I haven't had problems with Transmission yet. As Alexander already mentioned, it could be slow due to your network configurations.

I advice you to check your connection settings in torrent client of your choise.
I personaly use Qbittorrent ( it's an OpenSource response for µTorrent client for Windows ) that runs on QT4
