So welcome to 2011!

How did you all celebrate?

I'll start because mine was actually quite eventful...

I arrived in LA on the 30th and spent all of the 31st at Disneyland! For those of you that have been there... Oh my God it is AWESOME... And as much as I'm really scared of rollercoaster type rides I went on like about all of them. Favourite was definitely Space Mountain... I'm a screamer so I've pretty much got half of a voicebox left. Anyway it was SO busy, and there were a pack of these really... obnoxious people, they had a blanket on the ground in the middle of the most populated area and were yelling at people who accidentally stood on it, my sister being one of them. I'm so protective of my family so I went over there and stood on her blanket on purpose and then when I heard this girl complaining about how everyone stands on their blanket, obviously trying to hint at me, I asked her, "Why do you guys even have a blanket on the ground in this densely populated area?", a girl replied, in a nice-ish way (because I wasn't being rude about it, but I was still annoyed that she bitched at my sister), "We're waiting for the fireworks to come on". And the time was literally 6pm and the fireworks began at 12.... So I said to her "They're in like 6 hours..." and she said "Well don't you want to see them too?" so I said "Um well I'm going to go on rides within that 6 hours..." and she said "Well anyway people need to be respectful of my blanket" so I told her "Well I mean you can see how crowded it is" ... it was SOOO crowded that it was hard to move anywhere... "obviously people will try to be as respectful as they can", ANYWAY she said something back, don't really remember... I've actually got it on video so I should upload it for you guys haha, and then she threatened me and she was like "DON'T piss me off" and I was like LOL "oooooooo what are you going to do?". Kind of bad decision because this girl was at least 300 pounds, seriously, and she said something about shoving something up my backside... and I told her not to threaten me in a public, family area, then her whole American family stepped in, including her 500 pound father, and here I was, a little 17 year old girl, half the size of her and a fifth of the size of her dad, just trying to make them aware that it's inconsiderate of them to plonk themselves in the middle of the busiest place in Disneyland (it actually was, it was in the middle of the square by the statue).
SO YES, it was filled with drama... but the fireworks were amazinggggggg. :D

Rude, obese, and ignorant Americans? What a surprise. :-P

Mine consisted of a large quantity of alcohol. Thats about all I can remember.

I didn't want to class all Americans like that ;p but ya I've seen more obese people in Disneyland alone than in my whole life, 100% seriousness. However I can see why because I went to Denny's for lunch yesterday and it is so goood. I'm going to go to Mc D's some day this week and get a supersize meal and see how big that is... If that is actually real and not just hearsay.. :P

PS. Just came back from Disneyland again and saw the World of Colour, was the most amazing thing I've seen for years, was SO AWESOME. Go see it!! Getting a bit off topic here...

I partied with strangers: got about 5k in loot, had a dance party in lions arch :c-biggrin: , then i read up on the strategy design pattern and finally read rangers apprentice. Best new years eave i had in 4 years (i worked the last 3).

@Lor - you should have thrown Twinkies at them. BTW Mc.D's did away with superSize. Large is the biggest you can get now.

I didn't do anything. Caitlin and I were planning on seeing a movie but we missed it and caught it on Saturday. I stayed up for hours editing a PSD a designer sent me, coded it, then made a huge icon sprite to go with it. </2010>

@zeroradius ohhh oh well, guess that saved me gaining a pound anyway, haha. ;p
