I've just got myself a new netbook!
I was waiting so long to have my own PC, and now I have a beautiful Asus Eee PC 1015PEM. It's so awesome... Too bad I couldn't get a Dell Inspiron Duo, thought[did I spell it correctly?]...
The keyboard is comfortable, I'll just have to get used to using the left shift instead of the right one[the left one is a lot bigger], and the Fn combinations for Home and End.
Of course, I'm using it right now. lol he battery isn't even in yet XD
I'm gonna put it in and let the netbook charge during the night, when it's off.
And the best part? It has a new dual-core Intel atom and 10 hours of battery life. I'm gonna add another 1GB of RAM soon, and it'll be almost as strong as my desktop.
Happy holidays everybody! :c-biggrin:

Congrats! I got a new Sony eReader (PRS-300). It's working quite nicely, but I really want an HTML help site -> PDF/eBook converter :)

@Adv PDF's are not supported by all ereaders (they are by what wp has thou. I have the 305 model, I got mine as an early Christmas present two months ago.) and depending on the PDF some don't display correctly (all mine have so far) and PDF's seem to suck up battery power more then Epub (at least that has been my experience.)

That's kinda weird... I was sure that PDF is the official eBook format that is supported by all eReaders.

I considered buying an Kindle, but from what I saw, when you load a pdf, you can't read it unless you zoom in to ~200% which causes half the page to be off the screen. And having to horizontal scroll for every line is unacceptable to me. Is this the case with your Sony's?

no sony displays PDF's pretty well (at least the two i have on it) . depending on the pdf depends on if it has to be zoomed in but when you do zoom in it line wraps and changes image sizes so you don't have to scroll.
Thanks for the link btw john. WP what site are you getting your programming books from? all i can find are single chapters in the free department. I have been buying the rangers apprentice series for it, I'm addicted to it.

I'm mainly looking for programming PDFs, so I'll search for a language name on google, specifying a filetype of pdf. You have to have a decent idea of what you're looking for, but I found several on Qt, gtkmm, and wxWidgets with short searches. Since the search results are all pdf files, I never really leave google :)
