Hello all,

I have a website (Brezerd.net Homepage). I've been programming and planning and such and my most recent decision is to create a blog on there. On the homepage I want there to be a list of articles. These would include the first paragraph of the actual post, then a picture. The problem I have is that I need to know how to read from the page, stop reading at the first <br> and then get rid of the tags and print it.

I've looked at functions like nl2br(), htmlspecialchars_decode(), htmlspecialchars(), stristr() and the like. But, I'd like some guidance.

Thanks.
