Hey codecall, it's been a while. So I'm becoming a better programmer everyday and I have established that listening to music while programming makes me more productive and makes programming all the more enjoyable. My question to you is what music/songs do you listen to when you program? I know this is a very general question but I program in C++ and this board seems to be full of people who share common interests. Im sure if you asked the web design boys (and girls) what they listen too when they "work" it would be different then what we listen too (I'm not artistic enough for web design). Back on topic, normally my favourite types of music are punk, rock, metal, and grunge. However when I am programming I prefer techno and pop music. What do you guys think?

P.S Rage Against the Machine is the best band EVER!

It depends a lot on my mood. It ranges from Les Miserables, to Cats, to anything by the Gorillaz, to mood music.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.

Repetitive music is good because it turns off the hyper active part of my brain. I'm talking about the first album by Neu!. Otherwise Mozart and Bach are among my favourites.

Either a sum41 playlist or else I listen to a hardstyle song on youtuberepeat.com for a few hours.
Oh and 30 seconds to mars too.

I prefer to work in total silence, like hear a needle drop kind of silence. I wanna get myself one of those noise blackout headsets.
