After a short spell of googling, curiosity killed the cat and I ended up reading up on some pretty crazy "beginner programming" tutorials! Programming, as fascinating as it certainly seems, doesnt really feel within my grasp if I am completely honest, and my aspirations of creating my first program seemed shot (and my confidence to boot!) So I signed up on this great site to get some help and more importantly; cure the itch.
Hi, my names Jack and I am a newbie.
The goal is: to make a program that will boot on startup as a process, and will ask its self a simple closed question. Is it before mid-day? No, (open shortcut A).. or Yes, (open shortcut B)
HELLLLP! :) Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum,
First you need to tell us what operating system you are targeting. Else we would give you wrong recommendation, well actually good recommendation except for target environment. And what is your language?

Back to business! Yes I can see how my initial post lacked any/all of the most vital information for aiding my plight. I'd like to create it for Windows XP SP3, and I have no idea what coding language I would use. The easiest?
Ps. Your Freeware effing rocks, my boot processes are queued to perfection, will donate when I get paid :)

Since you have checked one of my freeware (it's Start-Q, right?), you can see that it's an easy task to do. I believe any language with win32 compiler could be used for that task. But if you ask me which language is the easiest, I would say Pascal using Delphi or FreePascal IDE/compiler.

Thank you! It's also a sample of Pascal/Delphi program that does what you want, right? :)
