Hey all, Been looking for a forum all about programming, and I found a good one :D

My end goal, is to be able to write applications for the ps3 (now it's been hacked wide open), something like that.

I have experience in HTML&CSS, and have currently been learning both javascript and C++ at the same time (both very similar I have found).

I hope it isn't just me, but the idea of learning programming seems so huge and difficult. I hope this site starts to make things easier for me. Like, I installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, and after working with small simple C++ command line apps.. the concept of visual studio seemed MASSIVE.

Anyway, hey everyone :) I'm 20, live in the UK, and my names Daniel :)

Welcome! Yeah, you may need to learn quite a bit of C++ and OpenGL to start programming for the PS3, hopefully there are guides on writing games for that platform so you can apply knowledge you learn elsewhere there. Glad you could make it to CodeCall :)

No, it's not just you ... to me learning to program is a HUMONGOUS task ... but I'm sure this forum can help a lot.

Greeting from another newbie,
Agnes
