So... I really really want a low-spec server in my room. I've checked all available options, and the best ones are -

I can buy a second-hand laptop for very freakin' low, but the seller is far and my dad doesn't want to go there. I'll contact him soon to see what I can do.

Buy a nettop.

Or, I can build a low spec system myself. I've just posted a status on Facebook saying that I'm willing to buy any old computers/hardware, but my friends are fags so I don't think the post will do anything other than making fun of myself.
BTW, I already have 4 comments insulting me for being so geeky.

So... I correctly have about 30$. The second-hand laptop costs about 15$. A nettop costs 400$. A low-spec system, I really don't know. It depends on how low and cheap I can get. Either way, I need cash. I'm 13 so I can't work until I'm 14, and I want my server soon. I need a way to earn 400$ that doesn't involve my parents giving me money, because we're kinda low on cash now. They keep complaining on it.

I've already tried PTC sites but I need an activated PayPal account for them to work. Not good.
I can try to sell my programming skills, but it's very problematic. First off, my skills are very general. I don't really specialize in anything specific. I know the bare basics of VB5. I also have some C# experience, but I haven't used it for a long time. I'm actively working with C - it's a plus, but again - I'm not too good at it. I'm good, but not good enough to earn cash with it. I have plans for the next year - learning Java, mastering C and getting to know Assembly. Still, it doesn't help much. Even if I will find someone to hire me, I only have 1-3 daily hours of free time.

I can't really find a way to earn cash, maybe you do?

Finding an old PC on the streets or from somebody who is upgrading -- free, online you can find good servers for $20-50 easily, I have no clue what on earth you would buy something $400 for.

Maybe you can ask your parents to use their credit card and buy something like this:

And that's exactly my problem - they're too paranoid to use their credit card online, anywhere. Not even on PayPal. I need a way that doesn't involve my parents, because every time I ask them an advice about earning cash the conversation goes against me and I get pissed. I'll speak with that used laptop seller, it seems like the best deal and option even after my dad said he won't buy it. He says it on everything. I'll just convince the seller to come to my location for a bonus, simple as that.
After all, it's my cash isn't it?

Yeah... I just talked with the guy that sells a laptop for 55$ - it was a pretty good deal, a Dell Latitude CPX - but it was sold. I spoke with the 15$ guy, he sells an old Pentium 1 laptop, and w00t! For a small bonus, I convinced him to come to my location. I'm gonna buy a Pentium 1 laptop w/o any screen or charger for 20$.
