To all the programmers out there, sorry I know about computers i dabble around a bit in the dark on my laptop like an idiot but i try. I have a question i want to make a fully voice activated and voice responsive website for children, i would like to use a flash style approach with small flash games, what would be the best set of formats and computer languages to use to set up a site like this. I was thinking of basic HTML with VXML but i dont know if its probable, could someone please tell me where the best start would be.
please anyone

Thanks for the reply

I have read that Windows voice activation is as good if not better than DNS, you say buy the DNS software and then that what, will i be able to make a fully functional voice activated website with flash games, does DNS give me the freedom to do that and will i be able to type in my own voice commands for which ever function i need. If so im quite happy spending the money.

Thanks again

Yes, it is the de-facto voice control software for these kind of things, it allows training of commands to do anything basically. It comes at a hefty price though if I recall, I am not sure if it went down recently.

Here's the deal: voice recognition software is HARD to make. You are better off letting your users use their own voice to text software, rather than trying to implement it yourself. Your site would then use the text for those of use that don't have microphones on our computers.
