Hei,
I'm looking for some relatively quick solutions to start programming stereoscopic 3D graphics. I'm not thinking about 3D shooter kind of stuff but more like 3D charts, maybe interactive. I don't have a specific programming language in mind, thou I presume that C++ is a strong candidate in this kind of thing.
I actually don't have specific anything in mind. I just can't get an overall picture of the field by googling, thus I don't know my choices..
Any help is appreciated.

In my opinion, the fact that the images is 3D is of no importance. I see no need to detect contact on three images and you could thing about tracking a fourth object behind your main object and run detection on that.

I do not understand. What fourth object?

My thinking was that you would run an object that was not visible but it would be moving in sync with your target image. You might wont to stay away from this idea, of mine, and keep things simple.
Try producing a 3D block or even make a number 3D. Once you have that, you should see a way of detecting contact with the image.

denarced, have you notice the void in books that cover this subject? I wonder why that is.
