HI,
There are certain points that you need to check before choosing web hosting company for your website.
* Check the web hosting company reputation
* Check the hosting support
* Check the geographical location of servers
* Check the hosting price list
If all the above parameter for your website are satisfactory than choose that web hosting company without any hesitation.

You forgot a few items:
Check the hosting backup plan.
Check the supported languages/databases for compatibility with your needs.
In the above, check for version support and upgrade plans, as well. This can be important if they suddenly upgrade your PHP version and it breaks something, or they don't have a component you were using.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.

Check the geographical location of servers

Why is that matter? Is it because legal issues or bandwidth?

And Who use tomcat with their hosting package?

It's better to have server closer to your target audience. Usually closer server gives better response time (due to less hops in the way). For example, if your target audience is people lives in your local city then it's better to host your site in local ISP; if your target audience live in US, it's much better to host your site in a server located in US.

However, please remember that bandwidth also plays important role here.

My tip:
NEVER trust unlimited plans.
Especially super-cheap ones- Trust me they will rip you off in some way (e.g. The UNLIMITED bandwidth only applies to HTML and you only get 10mb of images, when you go over that without warning your charged $10 a GB).
Obviously if a unlimited bandwidth and storage plan existed why wouldn't youtube be on it? if its only $14.50/Month why wouldn't half the worlds web sites be on it? That's a good question to ask.
Please, write clearly with proper structure. Double spacing makes the text feel un-jointed, Capitalizing Every Word Means People Stop Before Every Word Sub-Consciously Which Is A Pain In The Backside, and use code tags! (The right most styling box).

Well. There is no UNLIMITED HOSTING. Only Fair Usage Policy, which gives limited bandwidth and Space like 250GB. Byte host is the best I used so far. I even had image hosting site with them which needed lots of bandwidth.

24/7 technical support is the most important feature. This will enable you to decide if the web hosting company is a genuine one. With this feature you can intimate the web hosting company any tine in case of a problem and it is also crucial to consider the market standing of the web hosting company.

I agree with the 24/7 technical support being a huge must. I would hate to have something go wrong and not be able to reach the host, because it was 1 AM or a Sunday. I also agree to check and make sure there is no contract. I would never want to be locked into one host.

When selecting cheap website hosting, be sure that the web host provider is trustworthy. Try to ask around people about their perceptions on the web host company.
