Hello to All of you at CodeCall,

My name is Joe from Sydney Australia and just signed up today because I found CodeCall a very interesting forum, looks friendly and supportive to those seeking help in one form or another. I own a retailing business here that operates 7 days/week and my favourite pastime is computer programming either in C and recently got hooked on x86 (16bit), I know that abundant resources available at CodeCall and I'm just grateful for it.

Thank you.

Hello Nullw0rm & TeenChristian, thanks for welcoming me. What had got me interested in software programming was what I did in mid 80s as a programmer, i remember things were so different then, most companies used mini/mainframes deploying Unix and PCs as we know them now were non-existent or price prohibitive, then after I quit I decided to get into my own business and absolutely resolute about writing the entire business software alone, I did it by self teaching C simply because no on-the-shelf package was suitable, if there was it was way too slow as it must cater for a fast-moving environment. I am happy I did it.
Early in 2010 for no obvious reasons I had a strong desire to learn assembly and it might sound silly to say that I was taken aback simply by the virtue of what assembly is designed for, I started reading Jeff Duntemann Assembly step-by-step, as much as I must work 7 days/week I still manage to spend few hours sometimes longer to have myself and soul nourished and enlightened, well... anything to get away from business, wife, kids and our beagle puppy for few hours is always a good exercise to preserve my sanity:)
Last but not least, we've recently switched to solar energy for both hot water and electricity and now attempting to get into organic fruits and vegetables on a small scale in my little farm (ranch) not far from where we live in the city.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day to both of you.
