How do you compare a deck of 52 cards for a concentration game? Would you just take pairs of matching face values? Or would you match face value and color? Either way can I get pointed in the right direction?
Aside from that is there any suggestions for the gui layout to make this program appealing?

Thanks in advance.

I'd use rank+color.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.
