Hi!
Is it possible to use ActiveX components without registering it in WinXP’s registry?
Thank you!

Hi,

COM & ActiveX components needs you to register them before you are able to use them. However in case you don't want it to be in registery when you don't need you can do followings,

1. Register ActiveX component from your application when your application starts up!
2. Use it as you want.
3. Before you exit the application, un register the component

There might be something of your interest over BoxedApp Blog » Use ActiveX components without registration. Have a look on it.

I hope this helps!

You may try BoxedApp SDK. It emulates file system and registry.
