Hello all,

I have purchased a time management device used for clocking staff working hours. Unfortunately the software that came with the unit does not support windows 7 64x - I need it to. The error message I get when trying to run the software says: Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 provider is not registered.

The link to the software is here:

RIMS Software - Realand - Professional Time attendance and Access control producer in China - REALAND BIO CO.,LTD

I don't know if this is an easy fix or simply not possible so don't really know what kind of money to offer for a fix - you decide.........

Many Thanks Christopher :)

Do you have the source code? Have you tried installing OLEDB 4.0? Have you tried setting up both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of it? Have you contacted the authors of the software about it?

Hello - thank you for the response I read that there is no OLEDB 4.0 for windows 7 64 bit

microsoft jet .oledb.4.0 for windows 7 64 bit

I have contacted the authors of the software who are going to forward me the source code. Would it be an easy fix with the source code?

You can use 32 bit ODBC connections in Windows 7 64bit (I do this myself).

How easy it will be to fix depends entirely on the source language, if there are any third party components, etc, etc, etc.
