Ha, 146, not bad for a Friday :)

But as most of IQ tests on the internet, it favorizes English-speaking people. That's a huge problem in testing IQ on the Internet, because language understanding and speaking ability is part of measured intelligence. As far as I understand, people from IQ measuring industry are not getting any near to solving this problem in making international IQ tests.

Good thing about this particular test is that it's really free - no SMS or other payment required to see the result.

Now i'm wondering if nullworm really got 160+ or just edited the image link :D

The average IQ is 100..I hope that's not measured with this test. Because that seems ..low.

I couldn't solve the last 2 number sequences :(

I think I couldn't solve the question with leaf and branch - i don't know exact meaning of twig in English, i.e. can twig have a leaf or not? In my language - it can't have a leaf until it becomes a young branch; but branches can have other branches, while hands cannot have other hands on them. Quite messy question when you try to translate it back and forth.

P.S. And yes, Jarryd, if you have anything with this site that measures IQ - it's bad to have static links to images. I've constructed 160+ image without even looking into Nullw0rm's image source (if available in HTML source). They might consider creating specific or scrambled links so that one cannot guess link to a desired image (i.e. desired IQ :)).

Also important to be aware of: IQ is normally distributed with standard deviation of 15. As a result, a score over 115 puts you in the top 15.9% of all people, 130 puts you in the top 2.3%, and 145 puts you in the top 0.2%. IQ tests also tend to test the same types of reasoning skills that programmers have, so I wouldn't be surprised if most of us do well.

That's about 10 points higher than I normally score, which makes me somewhat suspicious of the results. Getting all answers correct would definitely be an IQ outside of where the test can reliably score, but I doubt it's reliable at over 130. Also, it has several language components that heavily bias it towards native English speakers.

Any moderator want to tell me why they deleted my post?

Oh my gosh edit is taking so long so I'm sorry for double post, not my fault, it's not loading.
**Or is this a result of the server changes?.. Because deleting my post sounds kind of corrupt

The move had not gone so well so we had moved back to the old server yesterday, thus using the older database. This is why Roger wants to wait until he is sure it can work (possible December, as in announcements) as losing posts is troublesome, we had all lost a days posts. Who would delete your posts?

Dunno, you tell me.

@Roger: It's okay :), I just replied to what Nullw0rm said when he stated that IQ tests have nothing to do with intelligence, just said that IQ tests are called Intelligence Quotient tests for a reason lol.

Yes, that may be true but... An IQ test is a way to measure the relative intelligence of a person, but the answers derived from an IQ test aren’t based on the amount of knowledge a person has. The idea behind IQ testing was to find a way to assign a number to a person’s intelligence. The IQ tests used to do this are a series of generic questions designed to test general understanding, comprehension and abilities as opposed to specific knowledge. To that end, questions such as “What year was the United States Constitution ratified” would not be part of an IQ test. That question tests a specific piece of information and it’s quite possible that even an intelligent person wouldn’t know the answer.
